The Nets want to have a coach in place before June's NBA Draft and the Star-Ledger is reporting that George Karl could be an option.

Denver offered Karl a two-year extension last month, which included a team option for a third year, but the offer was declined and further discussions have been tabled until after the season.

Karl and New Jersey interim coach/executive Kiki Vandeweghe have a history of success together during their time with the Nuggets.
