Heat center Jermaine O'Neal will enter free agency this summer looking for what could be his final NBA contract.

O'Neal signed a seven-year, $126-million contract with the Pacers in 2003.

"I'm looking forward to it because basically it's the stretch run for me," O'Neal said. "I don't plan on playing past the next four or five years. I definitely want to make a decision and put myself in the best position to compete for a championship."

O'Neal never visited any other teams following the 2002-03 season because he knew wanted to re-sign with Indiana.

"I never took a trip to see any teams," he said. "San Antonio offered me, but I didn't go. I decided to stay at a place where I thought I would grow."
