Lakers coach Phil Jackson doesn't want center Andrew Bynum rushing back from his Achilles injury.

Bynum has missed the team's last eight games with a strained left Achilles tendon and there is no official timetable for his return.

"I'm not holding my breath on a timetable," Jackson said Monday.

"It's going to take some time and we just don't know when. Obviously we'd like to have him play a couple games at the end of the season, but this morning I told him, 'If that's not possible, we'll take whatever we get in the playoffs at that time.' "

The Lakers will play five games in eight days as the regular season winds down.
