Lakers star Kobe Bryant plans on playing for the United States this summer as long as his body holds up.

Bryant said he is playing "as far as I know," but added that the decision would hinge on his health.

"Obviously I have a couple health issues, one being a cracked finger," he said. "But, we'll see how it goes."

Bryant added that Team USA shouldn't have a problem at the World Championships in Turkey this summer, even if Dwyane Wade and LeBron James skip the event.

"We don't have a shortage of talent, that's for sure. That's never been our problem," Bryant said. "Our problem has been having a group of guys that have played together, play well together. That's been our biggest issue."
