Brandon Knight committed to Kentucky over Connecticut, Florida, Syracuse and Kansas. He made his decision public on ESPNU.

Knight is ranked as the No. 1 player in the Class of 2010 nationally by Rivals.com and is expected to be the replacement for John Wall.

?He just really has a presence out on the court and he?s a big, strong point guard,? Rivals.com national analyst Jerry Meyer said. ?He can get to spots on the floor because of his strength and he can guard more than the point guard spot.?

Knight, the two-time Gatorade National Player of the Year, was a McDonald?s All-American and also played for Team USA in the Nike Hoop Summit.
