David Stern has warned coaches and players to stop complaining about the officiating.

The league handed out fines of $35,000 each on Thursday to Boston Celtics forward Rasheed Wallace, Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy and Orlando forward Matt Barnes for publicly criticizing officials.

Stern says such comments are "corrosive" to the product that the league is putting on the floor and undermines consumer confidence in that product.

He says that if someone else in the league wants to criticize officials during the playoffs, they should "make my day" because "the game is too important."
