A Bulls source has downplayed an ESPN report that claims the team is working back channels to gauge whether Phil Jackson is interested in returning to Chicago.

The initial report, which cited two sources, said the Bulls and Jackson haven't had any direct contact.

However, the report also claims that the Lakers coach may be interested in returning to the Bulls, which he led to six championships.
