Devin Harris and Avery Johnson didn't always see eye-to-eye during their time together in Dallas, but the point guard says they will be on the same page in New Jersey.

"We butted heads, we'll probably still butt heads going forward," Harris said. "But it's all about winning and that's the only thing we both respect."

Harris said Johnson was too hard on him as a point guard beginning his career with the Mavericks, but later admitted the tough love was the best thing for him.

"Devin Harris is a better point guard (now), so I won't have to dictate as much," said Johnson.

The Nets hired Johnson as their coach this week, just a few seasons after they acquired Harris in a trade with the Mavericks that sent Jason Kidd to Dallas.
