The Timberwolves appear to have improved their chances of re-signing Darko Milicic.

Minnesota hired Tony Ronzone as assistant general manager last month. He was Detroit's international scout when the Pistons selected Milicic second overall in 2003.

Milicic said repeatedly during the season that he wanted to return to Europe, but after the Knicks dealt him to the Timberwolves he softened his stance.
