After David Griffin turned them down, the Nuggets were expected to offer their vacant general manager job to Raptors executive Masai Ujiri on Wednesday.

Ujiri was a scout with Denver from 2003 to 2007, ending his tenure as Denver's head of international scouting.

Griffin was offered the job late last week but balked when the offer was low, according to sources. The salary was believed to be around $500,000, far below the market average for the position.
