Cedric Kuakumensa has blended in well with his new teammates at St. Andrew's, particularly guard Michael Carter-Williams.

Carter-Williams, who will attend Syracuse, scored a game-high 39 points in leading St. Andrew's to an 84-75 win in overtime against Worcester Academy.

“Everything has been going real well for me at St. Andrew's,” Kuakumensah said. “We started off the season a little slow, but we picked it up and we've been playing real well as a team. It's a great all-around situation for me; I'm improving, and I'm playing with a lot of great players.”

“Cedric has really stepped up and is very coachable and respectful,” St. Andrew's coach Michael Hart said. “He's an unbelievable addition to our campus, and not only because of the basketball. Cedric is involved in quite a few things on campus. He's done well. I've received a lot of compliments about him from the faculty, too.

“I'm so excited for Cedric,” Hart added. “He's got a lot of opportunities at a lot of different colleges. Should he go to the Ivy League, he's got the grades and ability to do it. There's Atlantic-10 schools recruiting him — maybe he could play at that level. He's going to have some good choices if he keeps doing what he's doing.”
