Michigan State has lost five of their last six games, but coach Tom Izzo doesn't think his team has quit on him.

“I don’t think this team has quit in any way,” Izzo said.

The Spartans are 13-10 overall, including 5-6 in Big Ten play.

“It was one of the more disappointing weeks in my coaching career," Izzo said after two blowout losses.

Michigan State entered the season as a title favorite and ranked No. 2 in the nation.

“It was a variety of things,” Izzo said, “and they all hit in about a five-month period. It’s hard for me to complain about it. I’ve had a lot of years that have gone the other way, too.

“I’ve got to work my way out of this. It’s something we, as a team, have to do. Nobody should give us any slack. Nobody should make any excuses.”
