Talk of labor issues dominated the gathering of the top sports experts at the World Congress of Sports. Many in the field believe that all major sports leagues other than baseball are likely facing labor trouble, with predictions that next year's NBA season will be shortened by a work stoppage.

"I think certainly a lockout is by no means inevitable," said Howard Ganz, a lawyer who represents the NBA, though others are decidedly less optimistic

Anschutz Entertainment Group President and CEO Tim Leiweke says he expects the NBA "is probably going to lose games, which is amazing.

"Are they really negotiating? It seems like they're talking past each other right now," Leiweke added.
