Mike Miller's postseason has included a three-minute stint in Game 1, another in Game 2 and a Did Not Play-Coaches Decision in Game 3.

Erik Spoelstra said Friday that sitting Miller on Thursday was not because of health but because of “how the game went.” But just a few minutes later he spoke about Miller not being at full health.

“I value and appreciate every single minute that he’s able to give us right now playing through injuries,” Spoelstra said. “It’s always tough for a professional athlete when you’re not playing at 100 percent and being judged from the outside.”

And he added that Miller’s contributions will still be needed as the playoffs progress, and that Miller “understands his role.”

If Miller is severely unhappy with his lack of minutes, he certainly hasn't expressed it.

“I don’t get that sense from Mike,” Jones said. “Mike’s been a guy that’s played a long time and has played every role. He’s been a starter, a sixth man. He’s been the go-to guy, he’s been the decoy. He’s been the defender, he’s been the facilitator.”
