In a move that was expected, the Detroit Pistons cut ties with second-year guard Terrico White late Wednesday night.

White broke the news on Twitter, saying: “Just got the news from @detroitpistons that they letting me go. Really didn't get a chance because of injury. Putting it in God hands now.”

When the Pistons selected White with the in the second round of the 2010 NBA draft with the 36th overall pick, they were attracted to the 6-foot-5 combo guard’s combination of speed and athleticism.
