Jabari Parker is set to undergo an MRI on his right heel, but doesn’t expect to need surgery.

“He is fine,” Jabari's father, Sonny Parker said. “He wants to get out there. He’s been off a week and he’s itching to play. But it is too much. He needs rest."

Parker, who injured the heel while playing at the FIBA U17 World Championship Tournament, will sit out the remainder of July.

“He played two months with a stress fracture, even when he shouldn’t have been playing," the elder Parker said. "That healed and he came down on his heel. Now it is all about being healthy for the school season.”
