Phil Jackson would have likely become head of the Seattle SuperSonics' front office under Chris Hansen had the relocation of the Sacramento Kings gone though.

Jackson writes in his autobiography that Hansen was inspired by the pep rallies by the Seattle Sounders and wanted to create a similar atmosphere around the arena on game nights.

Hansen also had the idea to create a low-priced standing room section behind the baskets to increase the noise level.

One other innovative idea Hansen mentioned was to remove the names of the players from the back of the jerseys to shift attention away from individual players.
