Markieff Morris has played just 20 minutes in one game since the end of his two-game suspension.

The Phoenix Suns would like to trade Morris but they've found the market for him soft.

“I’d say you never know if you’re close or not until something actually happens,” Ryan McDonough said. “I don’t think there’s any quantifiable way to measure that. We’re certainly looking at a number of things between now and the trade deadline, which is I think about five or six weeks away.

“Look, we’re not going to sit here and put our head in the sand and act like everything’s OK and we’re doing everything fine. We obviously need to make some changes and we’ll explore those things as aggressively as we usually do.”

McDonough was asked if it would be better for everyone if Morris was no long part of the team.

“If and when we come to firm conclusions, usually that’s followed by action,” he said. “So as of now we are where we are and we have the roster that we have, and that’s what it is until if and when we make changes.”
