The Indiana Pacers were unable to trade away Paul George on draft night and talks can linger into the start of free agency.

George has said he plans on signing with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 if he's not traded to the team before then.

"I'm confident we'll get something," said Pritchard about trade talks. "A lot of things still ongoing. We're not going to make a bad deal."

Pritchard described George's decision to not re-sign in 2018 as "a gut punch. We had many conversations over the summer about players we’d like to add."
