Chris Paul has will exercise his early termination option with the Los Angeles Clippers to become a free agent.

Paul can sign a five-year, $201 million contract with the Clippers, or a four-year, $149 million deal with a rival team.

Paul is expected to consider signing with the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets, along with the Clippers. The Denver Nuggets are also considered an option for Paul.

As president of the NBPA, Paul was instrumental in moving the over-36 rule up to 38.
