Andrew Wiggins and the Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to soon finalize a five-year, $148 million max contract.

Wiggins was the first overall pick in the 2014 draft out of Kansas by the Cleveland CAvaliers and was subsequently traded to the Wolves in the Kevin Love trade. Wiggins averaged 23.6 points, four rebounds and 2.3 assists in 82 games last season.

Wiggins and the Wolves have seemingly been on the verge of an extension for several weeks.

Bill Duffy, Wiggins' previous agent, negotiated the contract before they parted ways.
