The NBA has increased the purse for the All-Star Game with each winning player collecting $100,000 compared to $50,000 in previous years.

The losing team players will receive $25,000, which is the same as it was previously.

Some players have bonuses in their contracts tied to All-Star appearances.

Players agree the financial incentive will increase competition in the game.

"That'll certainly make it more interesting," Kyrie Irving said regarding the $100,000 winner's prize. "That's a huge difference."

"I think it will help, for sure. That's a lot of money," Klay Thompson told ESPN. "It will definitely help."
