Penny Hardaway has agreed to become head coach of the Memphis Tigers.

Hardaway attended Memphis before he was the third overall pick in the 1993 draft.

Hardaway has coached AAU and won his third straight state title as head coach of Memphis East High.

Hardaway retired from his playing career in 2008.
