The Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic are expected to agree upon a five-year, $146.5 million contract at the start of free agency.

Sources say Jokic does not have a player option in Year 5 in the deal.

The Nuggets declined their team option on Jokic to allow him to become a restricted free agent and get paid a salary commensurate with his value one year early to avoid allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent in 2019.
