The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly interested in Kyrie Irving now that they've opened up cap space to add another max player, league sources told Marc Stein.

The Lakers have $32 million in cap space following a trade with the Wizards and after Anthony Davis waived his trade kicker.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported earlier that the Lakers were considering breaking up their cap space into multiple players if they were unable to sign a max free agent.

Stein adds that the Lakers remain interested in Kawhi Leonard.
