LeBron James will wear the no.23 jersey for the Los Angeles Lakers for another season due to production issues, sources told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports.

James had planned to give Davis the No. 23 jersey and switch back to the No. 6 jersey he wore with the Heat. Davis has worn the No. 23 jersey for his entire career.

The league deadline for a jersey change was March 15th, but the league would have allowed the number swap if the Lakers could work out a deal with Nike.

Nike declined, citing production issues and the financial hit they'd take with the inventory of No. 23 James jerseys they've already produced.
