PJ Tucker added further context to Team USA's loss to the Select Team in two ten-minute scrimmages, saying that the games occurred following a two-hour practice.

"Nobody gave the whole perspective of what happened. They just threw the score up and said, ‘They lost.’ It was two quarters after we’d been playing two hours...We didn’t play a game. That was two quarters of practice and whatever. We come in today and nobody talked about it," Tucker told Marc Stein of The New York Times.

Team USA reportedly lost both scrimmages to the Select Team, including the second game by 21 points.

The Select Team is comprised mostly of players from the G League who helped Team USA qualify for the FIBA World Cup.
