The Los Angeles Lakers are "recruiting" Darren Collison to come out of retirement and sign with the team, league sources told Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.

Collison, who retired last June, plans to discuss a potential return to the league with his family and agent over the next week.

Collison sat in the second-row near Jeanie Buss during the Lakers' home loss to the Rockets.

"Just watching the game, ain't nothing to it," Collison told ESPN about his presence at the game.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported last month that Collison was considering coming out of retirement to play for either the Lakers or the Clippers.

The Lakers currently have a full 15-player roster.
