The NBA’s collective bargaining agreement allows the league to reduce player salaries by 1/92.6th for each game missed because of, among other things, epidemics.

According to a source that spoke with the New York Times, the NBA and NBPA have yet to hold any discussions about whether this could actually happen. It is unclear whether this season's remaining games will be played later, or canceled altogether.

“Of course it’s possible,” Adam Silver said. “We just don’t know more at this point.”

If player salaries fall short of the basketball related income, the league must distribute the difference of that amount to players.
