The NBA is looking to build upon its "Select Team" concept in the G League, with the long-term goal of featuring 4-5 teams that will complete against each other.

Jalen Green was the first player to enter the G League's professional pathway program based in Los Angeles, which is built around a 20-game season.

Isaiah Todd also announced that he will join Green in the G League, with Sam Mitchell as the head coach.

Marc Stein of The New York Times also adds that the NBA is looking to fill rosters with veterans transitioning to a coaching or personnel role to serve as mentors.
