The NBA is telling teams that they're prioritizing for the 20-21 season is to play 82 games with fans in the arenas for as many as possible.

Those conversations are ongoing and evolving.

The NBA has told teams that the plan remains to start on Dec. 1, but would only push back the start if there is a level of confidence that a delay would result in reopening games to the public. If the NBA delays the start of the season, it could be pushed back to Martin Luther King Day on July 18th, or even February or March.
