HBO Sports, Imagine Documentaries and Fuqua Films will produce a documentary titled The Day Sports Stood Still, retelling the story of the March shutdown due to COVID-19.

The documentary will feature a first-person account from Chris Paul, who will relive the experience of being part of the first NBA game to shutdown on March 11th.

The documentary will be directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by Brian Glazer.

It will also feature a broad range of voices from the sports world exploring how the pandemic changed their lives.

“Last March when the NBA announced they were postponing the season, Chris Paul and I spoke and he said to me “we have to document this.” Antoine was our next call and days later, we started filming. We knew this was a unique story, but no one could have predicted the emotional twists and turns that came with bringing the game back,” said producer Brian Grazer
