Kevin Durant checked into Friday night's game against the Toronto Raptors late in the first quarter after not being available to start due to health and safety protocols.

Durant's initial absence was due to contact tracing. Durant had come into contact with someone thought to have been exposed to the coronavirus, but after that person underwent further testing,

Durant was cleared to play, but he was eventually pulled at the direction of the NBA.

ESPN reports that Durant had been registering antibodies from when he contracted COVID-19 in March. Durant missed four games this season after exposure to the virus.
