The Brooklyn Nets beat the Boston Celtics 104-93 in Game 1 despite shooting 1-for-13 from three in the first half.

The Nets trailed the Celtics by six points at halftime before opening the third on a 18-4 run.

"There was a little bit of newness in many ways," said Steve Nash off his team's first half struggles. "We weren't sharp offensively, but we found a way."

Kevin Durant led the game with 32 points, with Kyrie Irving scoring 29. James Harden scored 21 points while adding nine rebounds and eight assists.

Irving credited Durant's aggressiveness for turning the game around in the third.

"[Kevin] came out and was extremely aggressive, [and] got to the free throw line [to] start that third quarter," said Irving. "So I think when one of our leaders on our team sets the precedent, sets the tone, then we follow suit. He got it going. He started attacking the rim and then it started opening up the rest of the floor for us and we made timely shots."

Harden also mentioned getting used to the crowd for the Nets slow first half. The team had over 14,000 fans in attendance.

"In that first half, shots just didn't go in. Maybe I'm speaking for myself, but the crowd kind of just threw me off a little bit. It was pretty loud in there. The vibe was what we've been missing, and it just threw me off a little bit."
