Luka Doncic signaled he intends to sign a contract extension with the Dallas Mavericks this offseason.

“I think you know the answer,” said Doncic with a smile when asked about the looming extension.

Doncic will be eligible for a rookie scale max extension at 30 percent of the cap, which could be worth over $200 million over five years. The Mavericks intend to offer the full extension to Doncic.

Doncic qualifies for the max extension as he will be an All-NBA selection this year.

According to Bobby Marks of ESPN, an extension based on a $115 million cap for 22-23 would have the following annual totals:

22-23: $34.7M
23-24: $37.5M
24-25: $40.3M
25-26: $43.1M
26-27: $45.9M
