Slovenia beat Lithuania 96-85 in the Olympic qualifying tournament to make the Olympics in basketball for the first time in the country's history.

Luka Doncic finished the game with 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists while also being named the MVP of the tournament.

"We’re going to the Olympics, the first time in our country. It’s amazing. I think every kid dreams about being in the Olympics. I did, too. So, here we are. We fought really, really hard and I think we deserve to be here," said Doncic.

Vlatko Cancar added 18 points for Slovenia.

Slovenia are in Group C of the Olympics with Argentina, Japan, and Spain.

The top two teams from each group, plus two wild-cards, make the quarterfinals.
