Damian Lillard would like to sign a two-year, $107 million extension with the Portland Trail Blazers in July, and he and his agent will need the franchise's next general manager to sell ownership on the idea.

Lillard is already owed $48.8 million in 2024-25, and a new contract would pay him $51 million at 35 years old and $55 million at 36.

Lillard's camp is privately selling the idea of trading his veteran teammates with value to rebuild around him on the new extension.

This past offseason, Lillard's representatives also "offered mixed messages on the star's intentions to stay or go."
