Adrian Wojnarowski will earn approximately $7 million per year as part of his new deal with ESPN, sources tell Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.

Adam Schefter, meanwhile, will earn $9 million per year as Wojnarowski's counterpart at ESPN on the NFL beat.

Wojnarowski and Schefter are each represented by CAA, but they didn't negotiate as a package deal.

The spike in salaries for top news breakers is attributed to the influx of gambling money, as well as social media and new streaming services.

As part of Schefter’s contract, he retained his gambling and podcast rights with the idea that it will be with an ESPN partner. Wojnarowski didn't raise this possibility, but he could still have the same options.
