The Phoenix Suns are filling their open roster spot before the postseason by signing Ishmail Wainright to a standard deal. Wainright had played on a Two-Way with Phoenix to this point.

After getting cut by the Toronto Raptors following the preseason, Wainright was signed by the Suns. While on his Two-Way deal, Wainright appeared in 44 games.

The 6-foot-5 wing averaged 2.1 points and 1.2 rebounds in 7.4 minutes per game. He'll give Phoenix some additional perimeter depth heading into the playoffs. The Suns had to sign Wainright to a standard deal, as Two-Way players are not eligible to play in the playoffs.
