Russell Westbrook spoke about how he was treated by the Los Angeles Lakers during his first season with the team.

Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times asked Westbrook about how LeBron James and Anthony Davis said many times throughout the season that they were aiming to "Let Russ be Russ."

Westbrook refuted that notion in his reply.

"Yeah, but that wasn't true," said Westbrook. "Let's be honest."

Westbrook also talked about he's never had issues with coaches previously, but that it was a bad fit with Frank Vogel.

"I'm not sure what his issue was with me. That's something that he has to answer."
