The Phoenix Suns season fell apart in the second round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs. Things culminated in a blowout loss to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 7 in Phoenix.

Now, it's come out that the Suns were dealing with a COVID outbreak that may have impacted their ability to perform against the Mavs. Six different individuals, including one player, tested positive for COVID either late in the series or just after it ended.

The Suns and the NBA have both said that the team did not violate any of the league's health and safety protocols. This includes reporting, testing and sitting personnel out that have tested positive for COVID-19.
