The Dallas Mavericks will once again explore signing Goran Dragic as a free agent this summer. Dragic was linked to Dallas last year after being bought out by the San Antonio Spurs, but the veteran guard chose to sign with the Brooklyn Nets.

Dragic is a Slovenian countryman of Mavs star Luka Doncic. The two teamed up to lead Slovenia to the 2017 EuroBasket title.

The 36-year-old guard has indicated no desire to retire, despite what was a frustrating season for him. Dragic was traded from the Miami Heat to the Toronto Raptors last offseason. After a brief appearance in Toronto, Dragic was shelved, then shipped to the Spurs in a trade deadline deal, before working a buyout with San Antonio.

Dragic struggled to find much of a rhythm in the regular season but was one of Brooklyn's better players in their first-round playoffs loss. That performance showed he has enough left in the tank to help a title contender.
