The Phoenix Suns could be heading to a parting with Deandre Ayton this offseason during his restricted free agency. The Suns did not extend Ayton before the start of the 21-22 season and they appear comfortable letting him leave the franchise provided they can recoup value for him

"I think they're very motivated to find a sign-and-trade," said Adrian Wojnarowski. "Get some assets back for him. They do not value Deandre Ayton at a max contract."

The Suns appear to believe Ayton is a replaceable component of their system, which has also seen the likes of JaVale McGee and Bismack Biyombo thrive at the center position.

Ayton was the No. 1 pick in 2018 and had a breakout 20-21 season.
