The Portland Trail Blazers have the capacity to substantially improve their team around Damian Lillard, but it would take trading the No. 3 pick and they so far have been underwhelmed by the offers.

"Portland is trying some pretty aggressive moves from what I've been able to glean," said Brian Windhorst on his podcast. "I have no idea how accurate everything is, but they are swinging."

The Blazers appear to prefer the path of keeping Lillard even though they are in a great position to initiate a rebuild around Shaedon Sharpe, their selection at No. 3, and whatever trade package they could receive for Lillard.

"If they wanted to, they're primed [to rebuild]," added Windhorst. "They can get a haul for Dame. Whatever it is. And they'd have two lottery picks to rebuild around. But that is not the direction they're going at all. That is not the intel I'm receiving at all. If that's being considered, it's not being considered outside."
