Neither the Miami Heat or Los Angeles Lakers are considered sign-and-trade candidates for Christian Wood, according to Marc Stein of Substack.

The Heat are currently almost $9 million over the first tax apron and cannot acquire a player via sign-and-trade.

The Lakers remain interested in Wood, but can only sign him to a veteran minimum.

The Mavs are open to facilitating a sign-and-trade including Wood if they can get a player they like in return.
