Damian Lillard requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers on July 1st after it became clear they were unwilling to do everything they could to maximize their chances of winning a title with him. The Blazers drafted Scoot Henderson with the No. 3 pick and are in a rebuilding phase.

Lillard was asked on It Is What It Is if he could spend his entire career with the Blazers.

"In a perfect world, I could spend my entire career in Portland," said Lillard. 

Lillard was drafted by the Blazers in 2012 and has led the team as far as the Western Conference Finals.
