Spencer Dinwiddie plans to sign with the Los Angeles for the remainder of the season. Dinwiddie should clear waivers later in the day on Saturday. The veteran guard was spotted sitting with Lakers GM Rob Pelinka at the team's game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.

The Lakers stood pat at the trade deadline but have made a big addition with Dinwiddie in the fold for their playoff run. Los Angeles had been looking to upgrade their guard rotation and have now done so.

Dinwiddie averaged 12.6 points and 6.0 assists for the Brooklyn Nets this season. He'd started all 48 games he'd played before trading to the Toronto Raptors at the deadline. Toronto subsequently waived Dinwiddie following the trade.
