Cleveland Cavaliers rookie sensation Evan Mobley plans to return to the lineup on Saturday, barring any setbacks with his injured right elbow. Mobley was injured on November 15 against the Boston Celtics.

In all, Mobley missed four games. The Cavs went 0-4 without Mobley. Overall, Cleveland has lost five straight games to fall under .500 on the season.

Mobley has averaged 14.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists. 1.6 blocks and 1.0 steals per game. He's been a key component to the Cavaliers playing a big lineup with three 7-footers sharing the floor at the same time. Mobley's ability to defend on the perimeter has allowed J.B. Bickerstaff to get creative with his rotation.

Collin Sexton will miss the rest of the 21-22 season after undergoing surgery on his left meniscus tear.

Sexton will be a restricted free agent this offseason after he was unable to agree to terms with the Cleveland Cavaliers on an extension.

Sexton appeared in 11 games this season, averaging 16.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 28.7 minutes per game. In 20-21, Sexton averaged 24.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 35.3 minutes. 

Evan Mobley will miss the next two to four weeks with a right elbow strain. Mobley will now undergo a period of treatment and rehabilitation.

Mobley is averaging 14.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 blocks in 33.7 minutes per game. Mobley has been the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year based on his play to start the season.

The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Mobley third overall in the 2021 draft.

Cleveland Cavaliers rookie sensation Evan Mobley was forced out of Monday's loss to the Boston Celtics due to a sprained right elbow. Mobley will have an MRI on Tuesday morning to determine the extent of the injury.

Before leaving the game, Mobley was 0-for-11 from the floor. Cleveland also played without big men Jarrett Allen, Kevin Love and Lauri Markkanen. Allen was a late scratch due to a non-COVID illness, while Love and Markkanen are working their way back from the Health and Safety Protocols.

To this point, Mobley has started all 15 games this season for the Cavaliers. He's averaged 14.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.6 and 1.0 steals per game.

Paul George and Jarrett Allen have been named the NBA's Players of the Week for Week 3.

George averaged 26.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists as the Los Angeles Clippers went 4-0.

Allen averaged 20.5 points and 16.3 rebounds as the Cleveland Cavaliers went 4-0.

Collin Sexton left Sunday night’s road game at New York in the second quarter with a left knee injury and did not return to action.

Sexton underwent an MRI, which revealed a meniscus tear.

Sexton will undergo additional evaluation after which time his status will be updated.

The Cleveland Cavaliers remain interested in signing Collin Sexton to a long-term contract despite not agreeing to an extension in October.

Sexton sought a four-year deal in the $100 million range, while the Cavaliers wanted a fifth year on any agreement.

Sexton is averaging 16 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists so far this season.

The Cavaliers have revamped their roster in the offseason by drafting Evan Mobley, and trading for both Ricky Rubio and Lauri Markkanen.

Following the games, Cavs head coach J.B. Bicketstaff said there was "no update" on Sexton's status.

Cleveland pulled off the upset at the Knicks in part because Ricky Rubio had a career-best night. Rubio scored a career-high 37 points and hit eight three-pointers. Rubio also added 10 assists, as he became the first player to put up that many points, assists and three-pointers in a game off the bench.

Sexton has started all 11 games of the Cavaliers surprising 7-4 start. Despite playing a career-low in minutes, Sexton averaging 16 points per game.

Lauri Markkanen has entered the NBA's Health and Safety Protocols.

The Cleveland Cavaliers also had Kevin Love test positive for COVID-19. The Cavaliers have its entire roster vaccinated.

Markkanen is averaging 12.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in his first season with the Cavaliers. 

Kevin Love has entered the NBA's health and safety protocols and will miss several games.

Love is averaging 9.9 points and 7.3 rebounds this season for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
