Josh Smith, Unnamed Assistant Coach Engage In Argument After Loss

Nov 23, 2015 11:29 AM

Josh Smith and an unnamed assistant coach for the Los Angeles Clippers engaged in an obscenity-laced argument on Sunday while the media were waiting for Doc Rivers' postgame news conference to begin.

"It's [like any] locker room after you lose and play like that," Rivers said. "Guys are upset. That's about it."

The Clippers are now 6-7 after beginning the season 4-0.

"We're pretty frustrated,'' Blake Griffin said. "It's been three in a row, so I think it's pretty normal to be frustrated. But we can't let that frustration affect us negatively moving forward.''

Josh Smith signed a one-year, veterans-minimum, $1.5 million contract with the Clippers in July.

Parsons: DeAndre Jordan Not A Priority To Mavs Or Even Clippers

Nov 12, 2015 7:27 PM

Chandler Parsons played a key role in the Dallas Mavericks' recruitment of DeAndre Jordan, but sat out the Los Angeles Clippers' visit on Wednesday.

Jordan had nine points and 11 rebounds in 27 minutes.

One of the reasons why Jordan considered signing with the Mavericks was for a bigger role on offense.

"He's not a priority to us. And by the looks of their team, he's not to them, either," said Parsons.

Mark Cuban said he saved all of his text messages from DeAndre Jordan and he might detail them at a later date.

Jordan agreed to sign with the Dallas Mavericks before reconsidering and eventually re-signing with the Los Angeles Clippers.

"Look, this is not thermonuclear war," said Cuban. "This is a basketball game, and for fans, it’s supposed to be fun."

Chris Paul Suffers Strained Right Groin

Nov 5, 2015 11:15 AM

Chris Paul sat out during the final play of the Los Angeles Clippers' loss at the Golden State Warriors due to a strained right groin.

"I don't think it's severe," Doc Rivers said. "It's just too early in the season, so I took him out."

Paul tried to sneak back onto the court at one point.

Paul said he injured his groin "somewhere down the stretch," adding, "I'll be alright."
