Kemp's European Career Over Before It Begins

Shawn Kemp's time with Montegranaro Premiata in Europe is over one week before the season is set to begin, with the former SuperSonic failing to return after flying back to the United States to check on his house in Houston after Hurricane Ike, the Seattle Times are reporting.

"I am very sorry for my inability to return to the club in a timely manner due to personal issues," Kemp wrote in a letter posted on the team's Web site Saturday. "I'm very sorry that these unforeseen circumstances have resulted in the club's understandable decision."

Kemp spent nine days in Italy training with the team and playing in three exhibition games.

Alexander Johnson Signs In Europe

Former NBA center Alexander Johnson has signed a deal with the Brose Baskets of Europe, according to The Hoop.

Johnson, who played at Florida State, was drafted by the Pacers in 2006, but played his rookie season with the Grizzlies.

He was last seen in the NBA with the Heat in 2007-08, playing 43 games and averaging 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.

Tau Looking At Four NBA Players To Fill Void

The administration of the Spanish basketball club Tau is reportedly looking at four different NBA players to fill the void left by Goran Dragic, according to The Hoop

Dragic, who was drafted by the Suns, signed with the team earlier this season.

Smush Parker is reportedly one of the candidates to help fill the void at point guard for Tau.

Gordon In Talks With CSKA Moscow?

Still not close to an agreement with the Chicago Bulls, Ben Gordon is reportedly in discussions with Euroleague team CSKA Moscow about a one year contract, Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald is reporting.

The Bulls are believed to be offering Gordon a six-year deal worth around $59 million while Gordon wants $12 million per year.

Gordon has stated in the past that signing the qualifying offer with the Bulls, worth $6.4 million, is not an option.  One site reported CSKA's offer at $5.5 million.
